Venice Biennle, Fridman Gallery (upcoming)Archive of Subterranean Acoustics is an installation and multi-media presentation hosted by Hongbo Cai, A4’s 2025 Van Lier Fellow in Music Composition. This event marks the culmination of Cai’s fellowship and presents a collection of prototyped artifacts, simulated spatial environments, and world-building video installations that together reconstruct the mythical, subterranean sonic civilization of Agharta.

Behind The Sydney Opera House: The Art of Living
The Art of Living is a three-screen immersive short film exploring the shared philosophy of Jørn Utzon and Lin Yutang. While Utzon drew on Chinese aesthetics—including Yingzao Fashi and Lin’s writings—for the Sydney Opera House, this project highlights a deeper resonance: a humanist ideal of joy, leisure, and spiritual well-being amidst modern progress. Blending historical footage, AI-generated imagery, and digital animation, the film reimagines their vision across time and culture.
